WeddingWire Couple’s Choice Awards
We did it with The Knot Best of Wedding Reviews, and now we would like to express our appreciation for our amazing couples, clients, and fellow vendors from WeddingWire. We LOVE being a part of some incredible events and creating amazing memories. Our couples enthusiasm makes us feel incredibly lucky to be doing what we do! Their 5 star reviews have allowed us to be recognized by WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Awards year after year. According to WeddingWire, the Couples’ Choice Awards “recognize local wedding professionals who demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness, and professionalism.” And now we’re blushing! We’ve shared a few of our favorite reviews below.
We put a lot of trust in our band and they delivered, big time! We really kept a basic, tight schedule and our main request was keep people on the dance floor. In the beginning, the floor was kind of empty, but I could see them cutting songs off and moving quickly. They finally played this Harry Styles song, which I definitely didn’t request, and for some reason in clicked. For the rest of the night, they kept the floor packed. My only requested song, was Shout by the Isley Brothers. I remember wondering, “Where is the song?” But, they saved it for towards the end and it killed. I was too nervous at the ceremony to remember anything and was not at cocktail hour. But, everyone from the wedding said they did a great job with the classical and jazz stuff. They have a very structured plan when you hire them. You have a form to constantly update and fill out so everyone is on the same page. Then, as the date approaches, we worked with our producer over the phone to make sure everything was to our liking. He made it really easy on us. Then the day of, they handled everything. Our officiant didn’t want a mic, so they had to make a quick change and they easily did. They had all the equipment and lighting, so everything was professional. The singers and musicians sounded awesome! I only wish I could have talked with them more and thanked them personally(crazy day!). We had an amazing evening and Emerald Empire Band was one of the main reasons.

Hiring Emerald Empire Band was one of the best decisions we made. Our families and friends are still texting us about the band and how it was the highlight of the wedding reception. I was worried that with a smaller wedding during COVID (~60 guests, masked), we wouldn’t have much of a dance party, but with the band’s energy, we had the BEST time, with everyone young and old dancing all night. They were receptive to our music requests and even played our first dance for us live. One thing I was worried about was the fact that you don’t get to choose your band members ahead of time, but the group that EEB put together was better than I could have imagined. (p.s. if you’re debating about adding a female vocalist… do it. She was absolutely phenomenal.) There was one snafu with the mics/speaker during the ceremony which we had paid the band for (our guests could not hear much of the ceremony or my vows until almost the end when they switched out the mic for us, and so our livestream guests did not hear the ceremony) which was disappointing but the reception and band’s performance was 100%! Thanks for bringing the party! You won’t find a better deal in terms of quality + value for your wedding band!

AMAZING!!! Emerald Empire Band is fantastic! They have a band to fit any budget and they are so easy to work with! We worked with Justin and he made everything so easy from beginning to end. They give you great advice on songs and timeline to get the most out of your day! We let them know what types of music we loved and what we didn’t want to hear and they took it from there! The dance floor was packed all night long! Guests kept coming up to us and saying how awesome the band was! You cannot go wrong with hiring Emerald Empire Band!

I cannot say enough good things about this band! When we got engaged, so many of my married friends recommended Emerald Empire Band with flying colors. I went to two of their live showcases and was blown away by the talent and the vibe both times. We went with a 6 piece band for our wedding and they knocked it out of the park! Their band members are top notch players — our trumpet player actually plays in a super famous band when he’s not working with Emerald Empire! Pro tip — I definitely recommend going to a showcase and identifying specific band members you would want in your band BEFORE you put your deposit down. While they can’t guarantee which band members will play at your wedding, they DO take into account your preferences if you let them know before you give your deposit and they finalize the band :). 10/10 would recommend this band if you want a packed, high energy dance floor!

My husband Tanner and I had a 5-piece Emerald Empire line up for our wedding on 12.05.20 and we will never be able to say enough good things about our experience working with them or the incredible quality of their music at our wedding! Working with our producer in the run-up to the wedding was very easy and straightforward. We were able to provide our musical preferences and they crafted a perfect line-up of musicians and an amazing setlist for our reception. On our wedding day, we were absolutely blown away by how good they sounded and how they were able to get our guests so engaged, despite having a smaller, more intimate wedding. We cannot say enough about the quality and talent of the musicians. From vocals to keys to sax to drums and guitar each of our musicians was completely amazing. They picked such a dynamic and varied setlist based on the preferences we provided. We said in the car as we drove away that we could have listened to them play for hours more! Our emcee also did a phenomenal job for the reception. He kept everything moving along on time with a warm and upbeat (but not cheesy) style that we loved. If you are looking for wedding entertainment, particularly for your reception, we cannot recommend Emerald Empire highly enough.
